How to Buy Unstitched Suits Online in Pakistan: A First-Timer’s Guide

By the Brandox team · Published 17 October 2026 · 7 min read

Unstitched suits have a loyal following in Pakistan for good reason: you choose the fabric, then your own tailor cuts and stitches it to your measurements and your taste. The catch, if you have never bought one online, is that you are committing to a piece of fabric you cannot touch, and a tailor you have not booked yet. This guide walks through what you are actually buying, what to check on the product page, how payment and delivery work, and how to spot listings that deserve a second look.

What “unstitched” actually means

An unstitched suit is sold as fabric, not as a ready-made outfit. After it arrives, you take it to a tailor, who cuts and stitches it into a kameez, trouser or shalwar, and, if the set includes one, finishes the dupatta. The advantage is control. You decide the length, sleeves, neckline and fit, and you can match the style to your own taste instead of choosing from a few sizes.

The trade-off is time and effort. You need a tailor, you need to allow time for the stitching, and the final result depends partly on how clearly you explain what you want. If you would rather skip all that, our stitched suits arrive ready to wear in sizes S to XL.

1-piece, 2-piece and 3-piece sets

The piece count tells you what fabric comes in the set. It is the first thing to check, because it decides whether you will need to buy anything extra.

  • 1-piece: the shirt (kameez) fabric only. You will need to arrange your own trouser and dupatta.
  • 2-piece: usually the shirt and the trouser fabric. The dupatta is not included.
  • 3-piece: the shirt, the trouser or shalwar fabric and a matching dupatta.

Because designs vary, always read the product description for the exact list of what is included, and what each piece is made from. A 3-piece set may have a lawn shirt with a chiffon dupatta, for example, and the two fabrics will wear and wash differently.

Seven things to check before you order

  1. Fabric: lawn, cotton, khaddar, chiffon and silk all behave differently. Our guide to khaddar vs lawn vs cotton explains how to choose for the season.
  2. Piece list: confirm whether the dupatta and trouser are included, and what they are made of.
  3. Fabric length: make sure there is enough for the kameez length and sleeves you want. If in doubt, ask before ordering.
  4. Embroidery: look at where it sits on the neckline, sleeves, hem or dupatta, because that affects how you can have the suit cut.
  5. Colour: photos are lit for the camera and screens differ, so a shade can look slightly different in person. If matching matters, ask.
  6. Delivery and payment: check the delivery charge to your city and which payment methods are accepted.
  7. Policy: read the return and refund policy before you pay, so you know what happens if something is wrong.

Choosing how to pay

Pakistani online stores usually offer several payment methods. At Brandox you can pay by Cash on Delivery, JazzCash, EasyPaisa or bank transfer. Each option has trade-offs.

Cash on Delivery

Cash on Delivery lets you pay when the parcel reaches you, which many first-time buyers find reassuring. Keep the right amount ready, make sure someone is home to receive the order, and check the parcel is the one you ordered before you hand over the money.

Mobile wallets and bank transfer

JazzCash, EasyPaisa and bank transfer are paid in advance. Keep a screenshot or receipt of every payment, and note the order number it relates to. If a payment does not show up, you will have proof that you made it.

Delivery and tracking

Delivery in Karachi is free, and it is Rs. 400 to the rest of Pakistan. We send order updates on WhatsApp, and you can look up an order on the Track an order page. We do not provide courier tracking, so keep an eye on your WhatsApp messages once your order is confirmed. You can read more on our Karachi delivery page.

Plan your tailor early

The biggest unstitched-suit mistake has nothing to do with the fabric. It is leaving the tailor until the last minute. Tailors get very busy before Eid and during wedding season, and a good one may need extra days, or may not take new orders at all. Book your tailor, or at least find out their turnaround time, before the fabric arrives.

  • Ask your tailor whether they recommend washing the fabric first. Some prefer to pre-shrink cotton fabrics such as khaddar before cutting.
  • Take the whole set to the tailor, including any lining or lace you want to use.
  • Bring a photo or a suit that has the style you want. It is easier to show than to explain.
  • Give them your measurements, or let them take their own. Our guide on how to measure for a suit shows how.

How to spot a listing that deserves caution

Online shopping in Pakistan has plenty of honest sellers, and it also has listings you should read twice. These are common warning signs:

  • A famous designer’s name attached to a very low price. Authentic designer suits are not sold at a fraction of their retail price, and many listings like these are copies or “inspired” designs. Sellers who are not authorised resellers should not use another brand’s name at all.
  • Only generic or stolen-looking photos, and no clear picture of the fabric up close.
  • No contact details, no WhatsApp number and no written policies.
  • A seller who cannot or will not answer simple questions about fabric, piece count or fabric length.
  • Pressure to pay quickly by bank transfer to a personal account with no order number.

If something feels off, ask a question before you order. A genuine seller will answer clearly, and usually quickly.

Questions worth asking the seller

If the product page leaves something out, send a message before you pay. A short list of questions gets you most of what you need, and the way a seller answers tells you a lot about how they will handle your order:

  • How long is the kameez fabric, and is that enough for the length and sleeves I want?
  • Is the dupatta the same fabric as the shirt, and does it have embroidery or a border?
  • Can you send a close-up photo of the fabric in natural light?
  • Which colour is the trouser, and is it printed or plain?
  • How long will delivery to my city take, and how will I get updates?

On Brandox you can ask any of these from the contact page, and we reply on WhatsApp.

What if something is wrong?

Read the policy first, so there are no surprises. At Brandox we do not offer general change-of-mind returns or exchanges once an order is delivered. If your item arrives defective, damaged or different from what you ordered (the wrong item, size or colour), you need to tell us within three days of delivery on WhatsApp, with your order number and a photo or video of the issue. The item should be unused and unwashed, so open the parcel soon after it arrives and check it before you wash it or take it to the tailor. Before delivery, you can cancel an order free of charge at any time until it is marked as Delivered. The full details are in our Return & Refund Policy.

A simple checklist

  1. Pick a fabric that suits the season and the occasion.
  2. Confirm the piece list, and what each piece is made of.
  3. Check the fabric length against the style you want stitched.
  4. Choose a payment method you are comfortable with, and keep proof of payment.
  5. Book your tailor before the fabric arrives.
  6. Open the parcel soon after delivery and check it.
